Activ Gastro GmbH was founded in 1996 by Sabine and Thomas Poschung. The founders and managing directors have acquired an exceptional degree of knowledge through practical work, experience and an extremely well-founded education. Among other hotels, the Poschung couple sucsessfully managed the Hotel Kurhaus Weissenstei from 1991 to 1994.
In 2001, the sister company TOP Suisse Immobilier GmbH was founded. With locations in Gstaad, Neuchâtel and Solothurn, TOP Suisse Immobilier is also active throughout Switzerland.
Through practical work in the real estate business complementary to attendance in hospitality schools and courses, Thomas Poschung trained as a real estate sales broker, scout, agent, real estate appraiser (around 400 valuation mandates for hotel and restaurant properties have been carried out since 1996) and property administrator/manager.
Activ Gastro HOTEL Immobilier has a broad, unique hospitality and gastronomy real estate knowledge with extensive experience in the swiss hotel, hospitality real estate and investment market.

Activ Gastro is also a cooperative member of SGH (Swiss Association for Hotel Credit) and is currently a passive member of Hotelleriesuisse, the industry association for the hotel industry.
The main clients of Activ Gastro Hotel Immobilier and TOP Suisse Immobilier are banks, official bankruptcy offices, companies, public authorities, investors and private individuals.
Publications: In autumn 2013, our handbook “Valuation of Hotel and Hospitality Properties in Practice” was published in German and French only.
